Safeguarding
Our Commitment
Dingwall Amateur Swimming Club is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all swimmers. We believe that every swimmer has the right to participate in sport in a safe, supportive, and respectful environment.
Safeguarding is the responsibility of everyone involved in the club, including coaches, volunteers, swimmers, and families.
Creating a Safe Environment
We work in line with Scottish Swimming and Scottish Swimming’s Child Wellbeing and Protection policies, and we take our responsibilities seriously.
At Dingwall ASC, we are committed to:
- Providing a positive and inclusive environment
- Promoting respect, fairness, and appropriate behaviour
- Listening to swimmers and acting on concerns
- Ensuring concerns are handled promptly and appropriately
Welfare Officers
The club has a designated Welfare Officer who acts as the first point of contact for any safeguarding or wellbeing concerns.
If you have a concern about a swimmer’s wellbeing, you should contact one of the club’s Welfare Officers as soon as possible.
Contact details for Welfare Officers are available below and in club communications.

Reporting Concerns
Any safeguarding concern, no matter how small it may seem, should be reported. Concerns can be raised by swimmers, parents, or volunteers and will be handled sensitively and confidentially.
Further guidance on reporting procedures is available in the club’s safeguarding documentation.
