Fees and Membership
Membership Overview
All swimmers training with Dingwall Amateur Swimming Club must be registered members of the club. Membership fees support coaching provision, pool hire, and the day-to-day running of the club and are required for all swimmers attending training sessions.
Scottish Swimming (SASA) Affiliation
All swimmers must be affiliated with Scottish Swimming (SASA). SASA affiliation is mandatory and allows swimmers to train and compete in registered competitions.
The SASA membership year runs from 1 April to 31 March. SASA affiliation fees are set and approved by Scottish Swimming, not by Dingwall Amateur Swimming Club.
Dingwall ASC collects the SASA affiliation fee on behalf of Scottish Swimming and incorporates this cost into the club’s monthly membership fees, spreading it evenly across the year. This means families do not need to make a separate annual SASA payment.
The club’s monthly membership fees relate to training, coaching, and club running costs. Within these monthly fees, a portion represents the swimmer’s SASA affiliation, which is passed directly to Scottish Swimming.
Monthly Membership Fees
Swimming fees are payable monthly, per swimmer, by Standing Order at the beginning of each month. Fees are divided into 12 equal monthly payments for convenience and are payable in full irrespective of attendance.
| Squad | Monthly Fee |
| Academy Squad | £30 |
| Pathway Squad | £40 |
| Performance Squad | £50 |
| Elite Squad | £60 |
Joining Part Way Through the Year
Swimmers joining the club after the start of the SASA membership year are required to make a one-off pre-payment. This accounts for the portion of SASA affiliation and membership costs that would normally have been collected earlier in the year through monthly payments.
This ensures that all members contribute fairly across the same annual membership period, regardless of when they join the club.
One-off Pre-Payment (on joining):
| First Monthly Payment | One-off Pre-Payment |
| January | £45 |
| February | £50 |
| March | £55 |
Payment Information
Payment details will be provided upon acceptance into the club. Standing Orders should be set up promptly to ensure membership remains current.
Any questions regarding membership fees or payments should be directed to the Membership Secretary.
Membership Responsibilities
All members are expected to familiarise themselves with club policies, codes of conduct, and safeguarding procedures. Key documents, including the Membership Handbook, are available on the website.
