Who We Are

Dingwall Amateur Swimming Club is a community-focused swimming club based in the Highlands, supporting swimmers from early development through to competitive performance. We provide a positive, structured environment where swimmers are encouraged to work hard, enjoy their training, and grow in confidence both in and out of the pool.

We believe great swimming comes from a balance of commitment, encouragement, and enjoyment.

What We Offer

  • A clear, progressive swimming pathway
  • Qualified and experienced coaching staff
  • Structured training across multiple squads
  • Opportunities to compete at local, regional, and national level
  • A welcoming, supportive club environment

Our programme is designed to develop strong technique, resilience, and a lifelong love of swimming.

Our Approach

We take swimming seriously, but we never lose sight of the swimmers behind the goggles.

At Dingwall ASC, effort, consistency, and attitude matter more than results. We focus on long-term swimmer development rather than short-term success, creating an environment where swimmers feel supported, challenged, and motivated to improve.

Enjoyment sits at the heart of everything we do. When swimmers feel confident, valued, and encouraged, progress follows naturally.

Who We Are For

Our club is for swimmers who:

  • Want to improve and challenge themselves
  • Are ready to commit to regular training
  • Enjoy being part of a team
  • Value respect, encouragement, and positivity

We work closely with families to ensure expectations are clear and that every swimmer feels supported throughout their journey.

Squad Structure & Progression

Swimmers are placed into squads based on age, ability, and stage of development. Progression through the club is guided by individual readiness, commitment, and development rather than age alone.

This approach allows swimmers to move forward at the right pace while building strong foundations for future success.

Our Community

Dingwall ASC is built on strong relationships between swimmers, coaches, volunteers, and families. We are proud of our positive poolside culture, supportive coaching environment, and the sense of belonging that comes with being part of the club.

Volunteers and families play a vital role in the life of the club, and their contribution is valued and appreciated.

Safeguarding & Welfare

The wellbeing of our swimmers is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for everyone involved in the club.

Clear safeguarding procedures are in place, with designated welfare officers available to offer support when needed.
